Weight loss challenge

I have been trying to lose weight for the past few months with the girls at work. I have lost a little weight, but not nearly as much as I need to lose.  I use the word "trying" loosely.  I am trying to watch what I eat along with trying to exercise.  However, since we get lunch from drug reps its not so easy to watch what I eat for lunch.  (not complaining about the free meals.....Just saying hard to watch what you eat.)  I had started trying to walk/run on the treadmill, but that ended with baseball season.  I have also tried to do the Jillian Michaels Body Revolution, but have not had the time with baseball, work and life.

So I have decided that I am really just sick and tired of the excuses and being fat and I am ready to START the weight loss.  My biggest motivation is the beach trip that we have planned in July.  It will be the kids first trip to the beach and I do not want to look like a fat pig in all the pictures.

So I have decided to do a 30 day challenge......I am wanting to lose at least 10 lbs before we go.  So here is the plan that I am going to try....I mean that I am going to do!!!
  • Really watch what I eat.....My plan is to not watch necessary what I eat, but the portions.  I am going to use a combination of calorie counting and weight watchers!
  • Limit eating after about 7:30....sometimes hard to do with the time I get off work and getting the kids.
  • Working out.....I am going to workout at least once a day for 20-30 minutes depending on how intense the workout is going.  I am wanting to do both the treadmill and a video at least every other day and either a video or treadmill on the other.
  • I am going to log my info daily into My Fitness Pal
I plan on staying off the scale during the week and only weighing in once a week.  Hopefully this will keep me motivated and I will not get discouraged and stop.  I am planning on doing the weigh in on Fridays so that I know how hard I have to work over the weekend to meet my goal for the week or if I can take the weekend a little easy.

Hoping to lose more than my goal before the beach!!!!!

Life Lately

The last few months have been very busy for us with T-Ball, Baseball and the end of school.  I am hoping that summer will be a little bit of a break from all the running.

Zac played real baseball for the first time this year, he had played T-ball for the past two years.  I did not realize how intense 5-6 baseball was going to be.  They had practice once a week along with a game during the week and a game on Saturday.  There were many weeks it seemed we were at the ballpark almost everynight.  Zac had a great time playing and made many new friends.

Jason coached Katie's T-ball team this year.  T-ball is alot less intense than baseball and it was kind of nice to only have one practice a week and a game on Saturday.  I am not sure how we are going to do it next year when she will be playing softball at a different park.  Needless to say we have a few months before we have to cross that bridge.

Starting over

So I have decided to take another try I blogging......I decided that it would be better to start all over.  Here is a link to my original blog.  http://zac-katie.blogspot.com/  It only has a few post but I want to keep them linked together!!!!
